Avery is committed to providing effective, yet accessible fitness and recreation opportunities for the young women at Skyterra Embrace. She feels called to provide guests with a positive experience surrounding movement during their time at Embrace, involving individualized personal training, creative and upbeat group fitness, as well as education and support surrounding health and movement. Avery also works hard to equip guests with the skills and confidence they need to implement fitness and wellbeing into their daily lives during and after completion of the program.
Avery knew she wanted to obtain her bachelor’s degree in exercise science after spending more than 15 years as a dancer and falling in love with strengthening the body and mind through movement. Today, she prioritizes fitness through hiking and strength training, and loves spending her free time exploring the beautiful western North Carolina and FaceTime-ing friends and family back home in Indiana.
Avery Says: “The impact I feel that I have the capacity to make on the health and happiness of our students is what drives me to show up to work as my best self every day. Witnessing our guests make incredible strides on a regular basis during their time at Embrace is not only rewarding, but a constant reminder that I am right where I need to be.”
